Hide Weather, Safari, YouTube, and Other Default App Icons in iOS 5 [How To Tutorial]

Sometimes we rarely use (especially for those with slow Internet connections) some default apps in iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad). In this condition, I think we better to hide some default app icons such as Youtube, Safari, Weather, and others. It can be better because of we are using third party or web apps that we think they are more useful than the default apps.

Here, I want to share about how to hide the default app icons in iOS 5. The steps below is very easy to follow so just do it when you want it.

Step 1. Tap "Settings" >> Tap "General" >> Scroll til you find "Restrictions".

Step 2. Under the "Restrictions", there are many default apps that you can hide, then slide to "OFF" on the apps you want to hide.

Done. Now, check on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad screen and the "OFF" default app icons will not show again on your iOS 5 screen. One of the default app icons I've never use is Youtube and Weather so I've disabled them from my iPhone 4 which is running in iOS 5 final version. [via]
