How To Root Samsung Galaxy Note On Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread




Samsung Galaxy Note is smartphone-cum-tablet which has a 5" Super AMOLED HD Plus display with 1280×800 screen resolution. If you have this brand new Samsung smartphone, I think the first thing you want to do is getting rid the warranty of your Galaxy Note. It means that now you can root your Samsung Galaxy Note which is running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

In this post I want to show you the step-by-step guide about how to root Samsung Galaxy Note on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. This tutorial is originally posted on AndroidNZ and I get the post on Redmondpie. so here I write again to let you know this simple steps to root your Samsung Galaxy Note.

Please note that I have no responsibility about the risk which maight be caused by following the step-by-step guide below. Before you start to root your Samsung Galaxy Note on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, make sure you already have the necessary files below :

- Samsung Kies via official website
- ODIN v1.85 via XDA Thread
- Netchips ClockworkMod Recovery Kernel via download link here
- Superuser zip file via download link here

Step 1. Once you've downloaded the Samsung Kies file above, you need to install Samsung Kies on your PC for your Samsung Galaxy Note.

Step 2. Run ODIN v1.85 once the Samsung Kies file installed -> Switch your device to "OFF" (Hold Vol. Up + Vol. Down -> Plug your Galaxy Note to PC using USB cable).

Step 3. If the Samsung Kies file installed properly then ODIN will recognize your device. Now you can simply click the "PDA" button -> Navigate to netchip-cwm-update2.tar -> Click "Start" -> Your device will be rebooted automatically.

Step 4. Enter your device to recovery mode by doing press and hold Vol. Up + "Home" Button + "Power" Button.

Step 5. Now you should have entered ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery, so you can now navigate to install zip from SD card -> Select the zip file from SD card -> su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip

Step 6. Reboot your device. You can reboot via reboot system option from main menu.

Now you've done. The Samsung Galaxy Note is succesfully rooted on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. If you are not sure doing it correctly by following the step-by-step guide above, you can also watch the video tutorial below :
