[How To] Start a Manual Backup to iCloud (iPhone and iPad)




As we already knew, iCloud is the latest Apple service which allows us to backup files from our Apple devices online. If you've updated your iOS firmware to the latest version of iOS (iOS 5 Final Version), I think you've tried iCloud feature. Now, I just want to share a simple tips about how to start a manual backup to iCloud for iPhone and iPad.

I've posted already about how to setup iCloud in iOS 5. The post is contain how to setup the backup to start automatically any time your iPhone or iPad are connected to a power source, and the synced computer is turned on. In addition, your computer and iDevice has to be connected to the same wifi network. In this post, I want to let you know how to start a manual backup to iCloud.

Before you start this step-by-step guide, make sure your iPhone or iPad are running on iOS 5 and your device is connecting on Wi-Fi network.


Step 1. Go to "Settings" on your device.

Step 2.
Tap on "iCloud" -> Tap on "Storage & Backup"

Step 3. Navigate your device to down -> Tap on "Back Up Now"

Done. You just need to wait until the backup process is complete. Make sure you are connected to the internet connection (Wi-Fi network) with high speed so the process should be faster. [via]
